At least I got browser-based light/dark modes working today. Kinda. And I don't fetch every single note for the home page anymore.

I regret nothing, but ActivityPub is nuts with edge cases. Actually, it's probably just that I failed to fully understand it before I began building this app. I wish actor/attributedTo were required to be the canonical actorId, for instance. It seems like it usually is, but sometimes it's not. And that can be different even for the same actor! So to avoid being too noisy with the de-referencing, I now need to build a separate alias cache. I probably should have studied how other apps do it. Lol

Suddenly running into a lot of NotAuthorized when I want to fetch remote actors... Hmm...

i should implement stuff like the user profile, including avatar. Both ingesting outside users' profiles and serving profiles of local users.
